Taking care

So you want to clean your piece?

Here’s what you need to know.

Baking soda

Sterling silver is a precious metal and may require cleaning from time to time.  Baking soda is the most natural way to clean your jewelry. All you need is some baking soda (hint: there is probably some in your fridge) and water.

1. Put a small amount of baking soda in the palm of your hand.

2. Add a dash of water and use your finger to rub the two together until a paste is formed.

3. Rub this paste all over your silver jewelry and then rinse off with water.

4. Repeat until desired sparkle.

Please note: chlorine and bleach accelerate tarnishing and should be avoided.

HIGH POLISHED SILVER

If the natural way isn’t your knack, silver cleaner is also an option when it comes to cleaning your high polished silver pieces.

ANTIQUED SILVER

A blackener chemical is used to produce the antiqued look on your piece. To clean your pieces use the natural method. If you opt to use silver cleaner instead, this stain will be stripped and leave your piece to appear a light grey. So do yourself a favor and step away from the silver cleaner.

LEATHER

The leather that is used throughout kb the label is genuine and naturally dyed. This process allows the leather to retain its natural colour variations. Like any leather, this material is subject to wear and may vary in colour and stretch over time.
